Fun times at the Idaho house!

My mom and Cal have some property in Idaho that is close to Sweetwater so when everyone else went home on Saturday, Dave and I stayed with my mom and Cal in Idaho. The house there is super cute and cozy and we had a lot of fun. We look forward to many more trips to the Idaho house!

Sweetwater

We just got back from the annual Sweetwater trip. It was nice to see the Blake's and spend time together. Maya enjoyed seeing her cousins and was especially interested in Jackson. She tried to follow him wherever he went and she would smile so big every time he came into the room. It was so cute!

What a week!

Maya started getting a cold last week and by the weekend it had gotten worse than any she's had before. Although this was a concern to me, apparently a fever of 101.9 is only moderate and it's normal for kids to vomit all over you and sleep all day when they are sick.
Anyway, Maya has survived and is starting to feel better as you can see in the picture below that I took today. As for me, I'm getting better too (I started getting sick just a few days ago). It's been a fun week to say the least.

Maya loves books!

Today I realized that it had been a while since my last blog post. This also made me remember the times that Grandpa Ken would remind me to post an update if it had been a while and it made me a little sad that he is no longer here to do that. So in honor of Ken, and any of you who have been checking for an update, please enjoy the following blog.

Maya loves books, as you may know if you read the title of this blog. Every day I set a big blanket in the living room along with a few of her toys that she got for Christmas. Today I noticed that it was very quiet so I checked to make sure that everything was okay and found her laying on her belly and turning the pages of her new favorite book, Goodnight Gorilla. I had to get some pictures of it because I thought it was so cute. 

I also got some cute pictures of Maya and my mom reading a book while we were visiting her house on Sunday.

When Maya isn't flipping through books she is trying her hardest to start crawling. As most of you know she is so close and it seems like it will be any day now. She tends to get frustrated after a while with no success but it is so much fun to watch.
