Mother's Day Photos

My mom & I read the book 'Water For Elephants' so we celebrated  Mother's Day a day early and went to see the movie that was based on the book. Afterwards, Dave and Maya met up with us for lunch at Joe's Crab Shack.

My first Mother's Day. I have enjoyed being Maya's mom and couldn't imagine my life without her. Being a mom has been such a life changing and rewarding experience and I wouldn't trade it for the world. 

Drake and Alicia rented out a small bowling alley at a country club for Mother's Day and we met up with everyone there to celebrate with Pat. 

This was also Alicia's first Mother's Day.

Later on in the day we went to the Holman's for Sunday dinner and to celebrate with Mary Lou. I love this picture!

Almost 1 year old!

I haven't updated the blog in a while because things have been busy lately. Celebration season has begun and won't be over until Father's Day. Beginning with Mother's Day we have numerous birthdays including mine, Maya's and Dave's, our anniversary and Father's Day all within a month of each other.
So, I apologize for the lack of updates recently. I am sure I will have a lot more pictures to post after Maya's birthday. For now, here are some pictures from tonight.

She's a little daddy's girl and loves hugs from Dad. I love her little face in this picture, and Dave's isn't bad either.

Our Family Photos

We had these photos taken a couple of weeks ago and they turned out really cute. My friend Bethany (Patiri Photography) took them and I think she is really talented. She prefers more urban settings and has found some pretty cool places to take pictures that you wouldn't typically think of for family portraits.
