Miles & Mary Lou Visit!

Miles and Mary Lou flew in on Thursday night to spend the weekend with us. We were really excited to see them and we have been having a blast spending time together. Here are some of the pictures that I have taken so far.

Thursday was Mary Lou's birthday so we set up a little surprise for her at our apartment.

On Friday we went to Little Italy and had a wonderful Italian dinner at Buon Appetito.

After dinner we drove out to Ocean Beach. We wanted to show Mary Lou an antique shop that we really like but it was closed. So instead we walked down to the beach and took a couple of pictures.

One of the wonderful features of Dave's new Mac; the ability to do this:

I laughed so hard that I cried! I hope that these made you laugh too!

School, Weather, and Life for Dave

Hello everyone. I talked to Ken today and he inspired me to write a little bit about how life is for me these days. First and most importantly, Shandie and I are doing great and we love living in San Diego. So far the first year of being married has just been a continuation of a life that has just gotten better and better since we met.
As for school, this semester started off really strong. We think that perhaps the professors wanted to weed out the students that were on the fence after first semester grades came back. Unfortunately, several really nice students that I knew decided to pursue other goals. It's a tough part of law school and I hope the best for them. One new class I have this semester is Torts which the the art of suing for lots of cash. Actually this past week we've studied about medical malpractice suits. It is really interesting to see how this field of law is evolving and how it is truly a field that is sui generous, or "of its own kind". As for you JR, I suggest you continue to dot your i's and cross your t's and you'll be fine.
I also got a new laptop computer as you might have noticed in the picture below. It's the new Macbook Air, the thinest laptop ever produced. It is amazing how much of a difference it has made. The computer itself is amazing, but the shaving of 7 pounds from my bookbag has been so nice, especially because I walk to school. Working on a Mac is a little different, and definitely not for everyone, but Windows just can't do what Mac can. Plus I seem to be the only student at my school with one and I love all the attention I get.
Last is the weather. This past week has been absolutely gorgeous. Everything is green and it smells so good outside. I always try to let the good weather aid me in studying, like picking the seat next to the big window or the skylight.
So, that's the update.

Happy March!

I really love the weather in San Diego! This weekend was perfect with temperatures in the 70's and me having work off.
Other than the regular things we do, our lives have been pretty uneventful. Since there wasn't much going on this weekend we ended up just going driving. It's nice to get out and go exploring once in a while. While we were out we went to Sunset Cliffs. We didn't take many pictures but we did take a picture of this baseball field because it's awesome and I thought my dad might like it. If I played baseball I would love to play here!
Dave is still enjoying school and will hopefully be posting an update for everyone to read soon. I am enjoying work for the most part. They did finally update our website so if you're interested in reading about the restaurant or seeing a couple of pictures then click here.
I'll try to post more often. Hope all is well. Love, Shandie
