Easter Egg Hunt

Today Miles and Mary Lou joined us for the annual Wheeler Farm Easter Egg Hunt. This year we not only got to hunt for eggs and trade them in for a bucket full of prizes, we also got to ride a tractor-pulled wagon around the farm. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time.

This is right when the hunt started. Maya was in the 0-3 year old age group so you can imagine how many tantrums were thrown as we had to wait to begin the hunt with the eggs clearly in view.
There was a 6 egg limit per child so as Maya continued to gather more eggs  beyond her limit Dave followed behind her and threw the extras back when she wasn't looking.
As you can see, Maya went well above her 6-egg limit and when we tried to put the extra eggs back she got extremely upset and dumped out her whole bucket. Luckily Grandma Mary Lou was there to calm her down.
I think the highlight of the morning was the wagon ride through the farm. Maya was in heaven!

After the hunt we wandered around the farm and looked at all of the animals.
This rooster was my favorite. Check out those feathers on it's head! It looks like it could be in an 80's rock band.

Daddy always manages to get the cutest pictures .

Bunny Ears

Maya made these cute bunny ears today at the MOMS Club easter party. She loved them and wore them most of the day.

Beaver Mountain 2013

We had a great time in Beaver Mountain this weekend. We missed everyone who couldn't be there this year. Saturday was a beautiful day for skiing and everyone managed to get a little sun. If you missed out this year, make sure to ask Mary Lou about the "Desert Wanderer"; it was one of the highlights of this trip!

VALENTINES FAIRY

The Valentines Fairy has left some fun goodies for us recently (notice the cute tablecloth). Yesterday we received some cake mix so today we decided to make cupcakes.

Lately Maya loves helping me in the kitchen. She enjoys adding the ingredients to the bowl and stirring them together.
Isn't she cute? She chose to wear this dress today. She is becoming very independent and usually insists on choosing her outfits. There was one day I ended up taking her to the store in water shoes because she refused to wear anything else (even though there is a ton of snow on the ground).

Choo Choo!!

Dave took Maya to the mall and while there they rode the train. This video cracks me up, especially the end (listen to Dave).

Christmas Photos

We had a visit from Santa Claus this year. Maya hid under a table as soon as she saw him walk in the house.

We really enjoyed gluing a cotton ball onto Santa's beard every day. This is Maya showing me where she is going to glue the last cotton ball.

Yay! No more cotton balls means that Santa comes that night!

Christmas Eve pajama party at my dad's house. I was reading 'The Grinch' to Maya and Ashlyne.

Christmas morning. Santa brought this adorable piano.

Santa also brought an actual Dinosaur Train!

Grandma Mary Lou and Grandpa Miles came over to celebrate Christmas morning with us.

Princess binoculars!

Princess tiara and wand!

Santa even brought stockings for Grandma and Grandpa.

Maya wanted her Cinderella dress on as soon as she opened it.

And Grandpa was asleep as soon as Maya finished opening her presents.

Trax

Ever since Maya saw the television show 'Dinosaur Train' she has been obsessed with trains. She think that every train she sees is the Dinosaur Train. Because of this I have been wanting to take her for a ride on Trax and last night we finally did. I love seeing her experience new things and watching the expressions on her face. I just love this girl.
