36 Weeks

We are 36 weeks along today; only 28 more days until Maya is due! The doctor told me that I won't get much bigger than this, but if I don't get this boot off of my foot soon I am sure I will gain more weight due to my inability to burn calories by walking. (Someday in the future I will be able to look back and laugh at this situation but right now it's incredibly frustrating!)

Dave and I have almost completed Maya's room. We plan on finishing it up this weekend. Here is a picture of her crib all ready to go:

Anyway, we are getting really excited and are just counting down the days now!

As for Sadie, she's learning how to maneuver with the cone on but she still just wants to snuggle all the time. She's so sweet. Here's a cute picture of her and Dave laying on the couch last night:

Sadie's Surgery

Today Sadie went under the knife to have her tail cropped. It made me really sad to have to have it done but unfortunately it was necessary. Every time she got excited she would hit her tail on the walls and it would start to bleed all over. It also would hurt really bad when she hit our legs with it.

She's doing well but she's been whining ever since I got her home from the vet. She's also having a tough time wearing the cone-of-shame; she keeps running into the edge of the couch and the legs of the kitchen table. She's supposed to wear the cone for 2 weeks so that her tail has time to heal without her messing with it. It makes me so sad to see her so sad and confused. Poor pup!

Dave's Graduation

We spent the weekend in San Diego to attend and celebrate Dave's graduation from law school. We are all so proud of him! We had a really fun time even though I was immobile for most of the trip. Here are the pictures from the weekend:
