Charlette's Bridal Shower

Charlette's bridal shower fell on the same day as my nephew Beckam's birthday party. The shower started at 2:00 pm and the birthday party started at 3:00 pm so I wasn't able to stay long. Mary Lou did a fantastic job with the food and decorations and I got a few pictures before I left. 

Charlette's colors are fuchsia and orange and Mary Lou just happened to have this piece of fabric that matched perfectly. She bought this fabric while she was in Hawaii with Miles on their honeymoon, so she's had it a while to say the least. I thought it made the table look great. 

Trinny made these pretty pink cupcakes and chocolate dipped strawberries. 

Trinny also had us blow up balloons and scatter them around in the living room.

Mary Lou made this salad and it was DELICIOUS! 

Notice the heart-shaped jicama? I thought it was such a cute touch to the salad and everyone else seemed to think so as well. 

Singing to the movie 'Tangled'.

Maya has been enjoying Disney princess movies lately and one of her favorites is Tangled. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that she was singing with the song at the beginning. It is so cute! I got a video of it today but she was being a little shy with me recording. Either way, it's still pretty cute!

Easter

Although I realize that she's still too young to understand the whole Easter concept, I thought Maya would be a little more into it this year. After finishing breakfast I waited a little while to see if she would wander out to the living room on her own and discover the goodies that were waiting for her but on this particular morning she just wanted to hang out in the kitchen. Finally I asked her if the Easter bunny had come and she did not react well, as you can see in the following picture: 

I think she finally warmed up to the idea after realizing that the Easter bunny wasn't actually there but had left goodies for her to find. 

Pretty in pink! This is the first picture I was able to get with her smiling in her Easter dress. 

I tried to get a picture of the 3 of us together but Maya didn't want to be in it.

Daddy got the best picture of the day. I love this one!

Easter Egg Hunt

Today we took Maya to an Easter Egg Hunt at Wheeler Farm. Maya was in a whiney mood most of the time but we still enjoyed being outside on such a beautiful day.
