Making the house our own.

Dave and I spent the weekend cleaning, painting ceilings, and replacing the lights in the kitchen. I am so excited that we are getting started on making the place our own. (No offense to the previous owner but the decor was less than desirable.)
Anyway, here are a couple of photos of what we have done so far:

I was trying to take a photo of the light fixtures but you can also see where Dave removed the wallpaper border. I don't have a before picture of the border but believe me, it was hideous.

It already looks so much better! I can't wait to finish the painting.
